Challenge

We received a call from a customer complaining about a leak coming from the skylight above their master bedroom. Not only was it leaking water, but it was causing the paint beneath the ceiling to bubble. From what we saw on the flashing and rubber membrane of the skylight, it appeared that it was undoubtedly incapable of preventing water from entering the home through the skylight.

Solution

As a solution, we decided to replace the entire skylight to prevent any further water damage from the compromised skylight. By doing so, the ceiling would be protected from damage to the carpentry, insulation, and potential mold growth.
