Challenge

This case study is a perfect example of the consequences of hiring a cheap roofer to install a roof. No one thinks about the damage a structurally insecure roof or a torn chimney flashing job can have on a home. After a regular thunderstorm in late June, that structural insecurity lost its fight. A faulty flat roof and torn flashing allowed water to enter this home. A leak started in the kitchen and revealed how much repair needed to be done.

Solution

As a result of the damage, we replaced the torn aluminum chimney flashing with brand new chimney flashing. In addition, we installed a brand new membrane roof on the small roof adjacent to their kitchen. Doing these installations secured the home from any future damage.
