Shingle Roof Replacement on Roof with Skylights in Dover, MA

This particular home in Dover, MA, was adorned with skylights and needed a roof replacement. Because the skylights were in great condition, we worked around them and properly installed a brand new asphalt shingle roof. We made sure to incorporate the skylights seamlessly into the new roof.

This image shows a wider view of some of the damaged shingles. Here some of the damaged and worn out shingles can be seen, with this particular section being near the gutter. Here we see the shingles have been removed, and one of our crew members is laying out the ice & water shield before installing the new shingles. This picture shows the ice & water shield being installed along the edge of the roof to ensure that it is watertight. The worn out shingles have been removed, and it is clear that the layers underneath need to be replaced as well. The roof around the skylights can be seen here and it is worn out, which is why we are replacing it and tying the skylights back into the new roof. Here we can see the ice & water shield wrapped all the way down to the gutters to prevent any water leakage in between. New plywood has been installed to replace the old damaged material, and the crew has begun spreading the ice & water shield over the entirety of the roof. This picture shows how the ice & water shield is wrapped up and around the dormer as well, effectively tying it into the rest of the roof system and protecting the area from leaks and ice damage. The crew has nearly finished installing the new shingles, and only a few patches remain before the job is completed.
