Well I have this junk and it’s worthless–will not melt anything. Do not even think of buying it. Can’t handle one inch of snow in Wisconsin.
One winter later and it did a pretty good job. The Twin Cities had the snowiest December on record and one of the snowiest winters on record and the heater gutters kept the snow from accumulating and ice dams from forming for too long. Of course, in a blizzard the snow does pile up, but gravity and the heated gutters keeps everything sliding off. At the very worst I would have medium/large chunks of ice flying off the roof after a big snowfall, but it kept moving. Icicles were minimal.
Excellent shopping car, while not nearly as appealing to my particular eye as the 53-55 Champions, Commanders and Presidents. Not a enthusiast in the fins on the Hawk models.
