Home Improvement Advice: Bathroom and Kitchen First in Newton, Ma.

63

As home improvement advice for homeowners who would like to give their house a new look, it is the bathroom and kitchen that should first undergo enhancement since these are the places that provide comfort. The bathroom is a constant place visited because everybody needs to release body waste. The kitchen provides sustenance for daily energy. These are two places that should be kept clean and made accommodating and relaxing so that going inside them will not be an ordeal.

Another home improvement advice regarding the bathroom is to place light-coloured and beautiful curtains on the windows so as to give it a relaxing feel. Bathrooms are usually not that big so to make it look spacious, paint the walls with a bright colour. The cupboards should also be painted and if possible, should match the curtains and the floor rugs.

You can also place a small clock on the bathroom counter as well as multi-purpose organizers and cases for soaps, shampoos, toothbrushes, toothpastes and other toiletries. You can replace dim lights to luminous ones and place a plant and scented potpourri to give the bathroom a nature look and a light fragrant scent.

Renovating and decorating the kitchen is also a therapeutic activity because it involves organizing the utensils, pots, pans, silverware and dinnerware creatively. The backsplash should also be chosen wisely and should match and blend with the entire colour combination of the kitchen walls, ceilings, cabinets and appliances. It should be adorned with water-resistant decors and cleanable materials. As a home improvement advice, the tiles for your sink and backsplash should be in colours that blend with the walls and kitchen furniture and appliances.

If your kitchen is small, the colours should be light to make it look bigger. The cabinets should not be big so that it will not steal the small space of the kitchen. They, along with the furniture, should be a little darker in shade than the walls. You can also place a mini-bar in the centre of the kitchen if you have a spacious one. You can also place light-shaded curtains on the windows as one home improvement advice.

You can also hang a painting on one side of the wall for it not to look plain. A painting gives a blank wall more life. There are also paintings that have a tiny secret door inside where keys can be placed. You can also place a wall clock on the wall so that while preparing a meal, you can keep track of time. One home improvement advice that dwells on orderliness is having canisters with the same colour to store sugar, milk, juice, oatmeal, coffee, cookies and other stuff so that everything will be organized.

There a lot of ways you can make to improve your house and make it look new and arranged. Just make sure that before you start anything, you need to first plan thoroughly so as not to waste money and resources. Always remember this home improvement advice that applies to other aspects in life and that is to always look before you leap.

Yes, I do believe Outsourcing has its merits for starters, there are many entrepreneurs that are just too busy with their business to worry about the trivial of submitting content on their blog. These people can make more money by concentrating on the part of their business that matters most to them, and leave the Optimizing and Submissions to Outsourcing.

Other than that I do everything posted here besides the Robot.txt file. Hell, if you go to your link, the comments are not too supportive of the very basic example that author gives out to include in a minimal robot.txt file (e.g. blocking the wp- folder) so Ill leave that alone.

Besides the discussions around EHRs ,i would like to see as one of the goals of this group is the implementation of all hipaa business transactions so hospitals and payers can move to a no touch revenue cycle. It is 13 years later and we do not have one provider or payer who is communicating all their business transactions through the hipaa transactions that were approved in 1996. The savings that hospitals and payers will experience will be much greater then EHR. We must mandate these transactions and IT needs to show the industry that it can de done..

It is interesting that in you post never once is the word patient mentioned. Although many of us who are empowered dont use that term it is still important to remember that the goal is not simply a higher quality more cost effective health care system but one that is patient centered. In order to end up with health care that meets their needs it is critically important to include this critically important stakeholder and to design our process around their needs and to include not simply meaningful use but outcomes that matter to them as well. This is user centered design is not simply including them as a receipent of their data via a PHR but designing the system itself around their needs and the critically important conversations that happen between patients and their providers.

Im 25 and expect everything to be handled electronically now-a-days, its just the way my generation sees things. I worked in a pharmacy for 3 years (WALG) and was amazed by how seamlessly our entire workflow with patients and doctors was handled on a daily basis by computers through e-prescribing and electronical patient input via online or tele.

CCHIT certification is doable by both large and small companies there may be a bigger point though (and HHS is addressing it) What evidence is there that CCHIT certified systems make care better, more accessible and/or more affordable? as stated above, many participants went through it as a cost of doing business ($50K for full cert + programming cost)

There are examples, we (docsite) have some and lots of others do as well that it is possible to improve care by 25-50% in a 3-6 months through the delivery of the right information to the right spot in workflow (by the way, using paper or computerized documentation at the point of care). The evidence says it is about key questions and results at the point of care, along with population lists
