Person County Solar Park – Clean Energy From the Sun

A new North Carolina solar installation, covering five acres in Individual County, features row upon row of ground-mounted solar panels – three,420 in all – angled toward the sun and completely visible from U.S. Highway 501.

The surprise is not the panels, which will generate 847 megawatt-hours per year and reduce carbon dioxide emissions by more than 600 tons annually, but the sheep grazing alongside them, keeping the grass trim with no fossil-fuels in what is increasingly becoming a “best practice” in landscaping circles.

This is probably the very best thing I saw in Berlin. Individual parking meters are operated by their own solar panels! Quite cool

Leading down view of my house created solar battery charging box. It’s about 50% done. I know the bottom does not fit correct, but this factor is really hand produced- I don’t have correct tools so I had to do the greatest cuts I could with hand tools and a lot of sanding.
